Fidelity & Sizes
Many of our historic suits come in three different levels of fidelity, or grades, based on detail and materials used.
- A-Grade (Premier): Our most accurate suits, crafted with authentic fabrics and precision-machined metal fittings for the ultimate realism.
- B-Grade (Standard): A high-detail alternative featuring simplified construction, high-quality substitute fabrics, and durable plastic fittings at a balanced price point.
- C-Grade (Economy): Our most accessible option, offering superior quality over standard costumes while remaining our most budget-friendly choice.
Size: Most of our spacesuits are designed to fit someone in the 1.7m – 1.8m (5’9″ – 6′) and an athletic build. Due to the thickness of the suits, traditional hemming of sleeves and pants will not work, so if a performer is too small, the suit will be too big, which will limit mobility. On the other end of the spectrum, a performer too tall or large, will not fit at all, and there is no easy way to enlarge the suits.
We do have some suits that are extra small, and some that will accommodate up to 1.9m (6’3″)

Russian Spacesuits
Orlan - Орлан
Orlan MKS Spacewalk suit 2017 – Present
The Orlan MKS is the most recent variant of a long line of Soviet / Russian spacewalk suits.
Our A-grade version is in a teal color, which is different than the normal tan color of the current suit. If you would prefer another color, we can fabricate new covers (at additional cost)
Please inquire with Peris Costumes or Global Effects for details.
Orlan M Spacewalk suit 1997 – 2009
The Orlan M was an earlier version or the Olan EVA suit and was used on Mir and ISS for spacewalks
Orlan Cooling suit
Under the Orlan suit, a coolsuit is worn. This is a replica of the Russian version of the cosmonauts cooling garment. While this replica is non-functional, we do offer functional cool suits as a separate rental item.
Sokol - Cокол
Sokol KV2 IVA suit 1980 – Present
The Sokol suit is an IVA suit, for use inside the spacecraft. The first Sokol suit, the Sokol-K was first used in 1973 and there have been 4 different versions, with the latest version being the KV2.
The Sokol suit is unique in that it does not have a separate hard helmet. Instead, it has a plastic visor, with a metal frame, attached to the soft part of the suit.
Sokol - Fictional Variants
Sokol – Alternative versions
The following suits are not authentic Russian suits, but instead are fictional variants that were custom manufactured.
Yastreb - Ястреб
Yastreb IVA / EVA suit 1966 – 1969
The Yastreb suit is an IVA suit, for use inside the spacecraft, and with an extra thermal layer (pictured) used outside the spacecraft. The very first spacewalk was performed by Alexi Leonov, while wearing this type of suit. In fact, our replica, was patterned directly from Leonov’s training suit.
SK-1 - Скафандр Космический
SK-1 suit 1961 – 1993
The SK-1 (Skafandr Kosmicheskiy” # 1) was the very first spacesuit, and was worn by the first man in space, Yuri Gagarin. This type of suit was also worn by the first women in space, Valentina Tereshkova.
Our replica was patterned directly from a original training suit.
